You know that guideline: eat 15 grams of carbs to treat a hypo? Well for me that’s not always the right amount and especially not around 6 AM. At that time I’m fairly carb sensitive and insulin resistant, and I’ll usually see my blood sugars start to climb by themselves around that time. So early morning lows for me are usually treated with only a few grams of carbs. If I eat more than that I’ll have to correct a high blood sugar after. What’s your experience? 15 grams, always, for any hypo 🙃?

I think I’ve become insulin resistant once again. Years ago, I used to take Metformin but stopped taking it (along with every other pharmaceutical) and changed my diet instead and did great. Since my fast a couple of weeks ago, I’ve eliminated carbs and really only eat meat and and light veggies and I’m still very much struggling with my weight. 😩 I shouldn’t have to be that strict to just ✨maintain✨😭 It’s either the insulin resistance or hormonal/menopause but I’m tired of it either way. 😩 #
