Italian Tomato Sauce Meets French Chef

Save this recipe for Pasta Sauce! It’s one of the first real recipes I attempted making when I started to learn how to cook for myself. Start with a generous amount of olive oil, sliced garlic and chili flakes. Cook on low heat so the garlic and chilis infuse the oil with flavor, but won’t burn. Then add in jarred or canned tomatoes (San Marzano are the best in my opinion), salt, pepper and simmer on medium high heat until the tomatoes soften and you can squash them. Lastly add chopped basil and
