2022年10月26日 · Like you @CCS, I got the Muhle Birch Bark razor but I had read reviews that Muhle STF brushes run on the smallish size compared to other companies. I have known for months that I now like larger brushes, mostly fan shaped. This new Muhle brush is now the best bulb shape I own. I also like the taller height of the knot.

2017年2月8日 · The DE89 is a fine and well finished razor and a lot of folks would rather spend $20 or so less and get it over the Muhle. I understand, but am one of those who think it's enough of an upgrade to buy a Muhle. To each his own. I have ordered a 2nd R89 with an olive wood handle and matching brush & stand.

2023年4月18日 · Ditto. I've ordered two Muhle razors (r41 and r89) and both were very loosely secured in their cardboard boxes. Shipped had jostled them around, causing light scratches to form on the cap. No big deal because a few months of shaving will make its own scratches, but more padding and protection would have been nice.

With the exception of the Feather AC series (and similar designs) I am not a fan of ‘shavette’ type contraptions, most look flimsy, have a jerry-built blade retaining system, lack the necessary straight razor heft and are to my eyes more neck scrapers than serious razors.

2024年2月12日 · Between the 2, the Muhle is clearly much nicer fit and finish, but I kind of preferred the cruder knurling on the Merkur because it didn't get slippery, which the Muhle does. Not a big deal, but just giving you the info. So, I need to replace the 34C, but I'd like something a step toward the Muhle in aggression.
