2016年2月20日 · From realism stand point, short bow is way more versatile, on mounts, in small areas, small creatures can wield, sort of more concealable at least in comparison to a long bow. In 5e mechanics, the only real restriction explicitly listed are as others pointed out, the long bow is heavy, and a martial proficiency.

2022年3月9日 · In 3.5 if you acquired a special Great Bow, (not magic, just need high strength to pull) which could require a +1, +2, strength mod etc to use effectively, then the Great Bow’s strength mod could be added to damage. I have not seen a similar rule in 5e, but it seems like a reasonable house rule.

2019年3月19日 · Crossbow Expert. Although IMO, there's really no reason for this particular part of that feature. Anyone with a shortbow is going to be carrying melee weapons that are pretty much just as good, if not better, in terms of damage (ex: shortbow is d6, rapier is d8).
