2016年8月9日 · Do not use a GL-5 oil that is not clearly designed to be safe in a GL-4 application and marked as safe for bronze, etc. Some people have good luck with Redline products in the gearbox as well. For brake fluid, I use DOT 4 in the TC although some run DOT 5 silicon.

2018年6月27日 · The Redline 75W140NS oil Steve suggests is GL5 and stinks of sulfur, but it also has listed on the label a military specification called "MIL-PRF-2105E." That Mil-spec requires a very good performance on an ASTM copper corrosion test-- D130. To meet GL4 spec, a gear oil must also test very good on the D130 test.

I've had tremendous luck using Redline Shockproof gear oil in my other cars where it made a marked difference in the shifting and wear (or lack thereof). I'm curious if anyone has tried the Redline 75-140NS Gear Oil or is the multi weight asking for trouble?

2018年8月2日 · Gearbox, use engine oil. Diff use GL4, as it doesn't attack "yellow" metal (copper based). There are GL5 oils that don't affect yellow metal, Penrite is one, read the labels carefully.
