Porcelain and pottery marks - Helena Wolfsohn marks
Helena Wolfsohn was a successor of her father who run a porcelain business under the name L. Meyer & Söhne. She was buying white porcelain mostly in Meissen and decorated it imitating style of the oldest Meissen pieces by Johann Gregorius Höroldt. She also used Watteau paintings as her inspiration.

Contrary to what is often stated on some websites and in some books, it was not Helena Wolfsohn herself who copied the marks of other manufacturers. The business had been taken over in 1878 by Wolfsohn 's daughter Emilie (*1823-APR-23, †1901-JAN-17).

Wolfsohn, Dresden [DA] - Before Felton
The two covered vases are definitely ascribed to this manufacturer by the NGV, and both display the mark ‘D’ (with a crown), used by the firm from 1843-78. They were purchased with the other two pieces noted (clearly a pair), in the same Rococo revivalist manner.
