And I get your sentiment as well, but Football is a unique sport that requires a certain amount of "critical mass" (strength training, depth, organization, proper equipment, etc) to be played competitively.

Most CPL coaches want everyone to be in the playoffs, which is why there was a CPL Conference reorg a couple years ago which really upped the amount of IHSA playoff eligible teams.
