The app typically says something like "You're currently unaffected by an outage in your area." And when I sign in and look at the "current outage" status map, it always shows all good.

2023年6月17日 · You can force a failover by disconnecting the coax from the Comcast modem. This will definitely trigger it, you just need to reconnect it after the outage has resolved. Depending on the nature of the issue, the Xfinity phone service may have been totally down as a result of the outage and may not have worked, even with the failover.

Then it thanks me for signing in. Then it tells me it can help me better if I sign in. It's infuriating. There appears to be no other way to contact comcast/xfinity.
