Some Questions about a Cleveland Ohio Neon Vintage Clock
2012年2月21日 · Les may be correct. Cleveland Electric Neon Clock Co. made advertising clocks in this style. This one does not seem to advertise anything. Possibly the original advertising had worn off and it was re-worked to be a generic welcome, or some such, in a restaurant. The pastel colors were perhaps meant to be soothing and relaxing.

2011年5月28日 · Neon clocks are somewhat "off-topic" in term of early electric clocks, but there is no one site that gives much information on the specs of the major manufacturers (the Neon Clock Museum site is good for photos and some anecdotal info, but it hasn't been updated in years), and I wish I had both the time and knowledge to create one!

What I would like is information on how the neon elements connected to the clock and what appears to be glass sockets for the tubes were used. This clock is part of a historical restoration of a business and the owner wants it restored and is not concerned with the cost.

2009年5月5日 · I have a Cleveland Aztec neon clock with the double rings. The inside neon ring is completely illuminated but the outside one is just about 25% bright on the powered ends. I have replaced the high voltage transformer with a new 6000 volt 30 ma unit. The clock is 60+ years old and I have no reason to believe these tubes are not original.

2006年5月5日 · I am new to the board and greetings. Recently, I purchased a Lackner Neon Glow clock such as the third clock from the top pictured at Lackner Clock. I do know that Lackner made clock in the 30's and 40's as well as neon signs, out of Cincinnati, Ohio. Lackner referred to all of their clocks as neon glow, although many had 7 watt bulbs.
