Medically managed miscarriage & emergency surgery
2024年12月13日 · I was admitted Monday morning for a medically managed miscarriage and while the baby came as expected, my placenta refused to budge. The staff tried a few different things, but in the end I had to have emergency surgery to remove (placenta hadn’t passed in 10+ hours so they were worried about infection). Physically I am exhausted and so sore.

2024年12月15日 · When the placenta came out and they inspected it the cord insertion was reallllly marginal, but had good blood supply so it hadn’t affected baby. It is a good thing they have picked it up now, it means they can monitor it closely and will have a plan in the very very unlikely event that your baby’s growth is affected.
