Taika Waititi is reportedly looking to "crack" the long-gestating big screen return of sci-fi icon Flash Gordon as an animated feature film rather than live-action.

Last year, it was reported that Flash Gordon is being remade as an animation, with Jojo Rabbit and Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi involved.
