You need to carry the basic items, most of which would be available at Decathlon Store near you. I found prices in the store were cheaper than Amazon or other such sites. Basic items are:- 1. Light weight jackets, which are made to stand sub-zero temperatures. I bought one for Rs.999/- 2. One windcheater 3. One poncho or a large raincoat, which should be able to cover your body and camera bags etc. 4. Walking stick (I bought it from Amazon but it is also available in Decathlon). 5. Thermos flask (750 ML or 1 Ltr) 6. Torch or head lamp 7. Light weight back-pack (I carried a 30 Liters bag, weighing 990 Gms). 8. Comfortable trekking shoes. (I bought walking shoes from Decathlon as my Trekking shoes were too heavy but it was not a good idea to go in walking shoes as these do not have proper grip on snowy ice or sand). 9. Tiffin box, spoon, enameled mug or tumbler for tea, coffee etc. 10. Dark glasses 11. Balaclava (full face/head cover or monkey cap) 12. Thermal suit (2 sets, as one set is needed for emergency change due to rains etc) 13. Toiletries must include mouth-wash, sun-screen lotion, lip-balm and toilet paper. I hope you find it useful.
